Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Sales Program Manager to join our team at BMO Financial Group. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of retail sales and marketing strategies, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a market business plan to achieve retail sales program objectives
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver sales activities and results for designated retail sales programs/products
  • Act as the market expert for the retail sales program/products to grow market share
  • Establish strong working relationships within the designated market and participate on joint sales calls and team meetings
  • Identify and refer business opportunities to key partners
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve retail sales program objectives
  • Represent the retail sales programs/products at sales calls and events
  • Generate appointments and opportunities to grow business results
  • Prioritize the markets client and prospect pipeline and schedule for events and seminars
  • Manage regional retail sales programs/products to maximize client opportunities across BMO
  • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Recommend program design changes based on client or market segment needs to enhance program effectiveness and establish best practices
  • Provide strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor
  • Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group
  • Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies
  • May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices
  • Develop the business case by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected return on investment
  • Establish strong partnerships with BMO colleagues and senior leaders in the designated market
  • Act as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders
  • Break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Define business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making
  • Coordinate the management of databases; ensure alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards
  • Develop and apply the framework for databases; oversee database management in adherence with data governance standards
  • Monitor and track performance and address any issues
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Lead change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives
  • Lead the development of the communication strategy focusing on positively influencing or changing behavior
  • Collaborate across BMO to develop communications strategies and ensure consistency of messaging to positively influence or change behavior
  • Lead the execution of operational programs; assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution
  • Lead/participate in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes
  • Plan and control unit operating expenses in accordance with forecasts
  • Make recommendations to leaders on financial management processes based on changing requirements
  • Develop and manage comprehensive information management systems; design and/or lead initiatives to improve processes, analysis, and reporting
  • Lead/participate in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes
  • Provide input to program development and marketing strategies to grow the market share
  • Identify, refine, and share suggestions to improve sales calls, events, seminars, materials, and tools
  • Deliver the desired customer experience in partnership with BMO colleagues

Qualifications
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Meets all CFPB and Safe Act requirements and adheres to all compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelines
  • In-depth/expert knowledge of retail products and retail branch networks
  • Presentation skills and time management in-depth/expert
  • Proven business development success
  • Customer-oriented; focused on designing and delivering a great customer experience
  • Proactive and collaborative with team members to establish trust and partnerships
  • Committed to building strong internal and customer relationships
  • Comfort with multi-tasking to manage multiple clients and/or events simultaneously

Salary

$90,167,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
