Job Title: Registered Nurse-Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse-Labor and Delivery to join our team at TotalMed in Baltimore, Maryland. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to patients in labor and delivery, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document patient responses.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as codes and transfers, and respond to patient needs in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in Maryland.
  • Experience in labor and delivery nursing, preferably in a travel assignment setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
