We are seeking a skilled Electrician 3rd Class to join our team at General Dynamics NASSCO-Bremerton. As an Electrician 3rd Class, you will be responsible for performing electrical work in accordance with work specifications, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical work in accordance with work specifications, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.
- Assure that tank/compartment has an updated safe for hot work ticket and that requirements of the ticket have been met.
- Assure that conditions of the tank/compartment have not changed since the ticket was written.
- Assure that a Work Authorization Form (WAF) ticket is on the job site and that it is for the specific job being accomplished.
- Assure that any other safety issues are complied with that relate to the specific job being accomplished.
- Assure that you are trained or qualified for the work you are assigned to do.
- Assure that you and personnel working under your direction are working as safely and as productively as possible maintaining quality control at all times.
- Assure that a 30 minute cool down period has been accomplished in hot work areas.
- Assure that the job site is left in a safe and clean condition prior to departure.
- Must be able to use basic tools and test equipment.
- Must be able to follow directions from the lead Mechanic.
- Must be able to accomplish an electrical motor test.
- Must be able to identify electrical components inside a controller.
- Must be able to identify the different types of cable used to be an Electrician.
- Must be able to distinguish color code phasing (orange, brown, yellow, black, white and red).
This position reports to shop supervisor. This position develops and maintains a positive working relationship with other Electricians and supports a team approach in the pursuit of common company goals.

Unique/Additional RequirementsRegular, reliable attendance on-site is an essential function of the job. Weekend work and/or extended hours may be required. Must be able to access all work locations, including government and private shipyards and/or vessels.
The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity. At NASSCO Bremerton we anticipate making salary offers between the minimum and midpoint of salary range. Offers will be based on experience, abilities, and knowledge similar to the NASSCO Job being applied for NASSCO employees performing similar work.

Additionally, NASSCO employees earn paid vacation from date of hire, accrued at 2.31 hours for every week worked, seven paid holidays, and one personal day per year.
