Key Responsibilities:
Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources
Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and machinery, and follow procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation
Speak up with safety concerns and act as the patient's advocate
Handle specimens according to facility policy and procedures
Adhere to standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment
Perform interventions to protect patients from infection
Assemble supplies and equipment, and assume an active role in assisting patients with care needs
Proactively optimize opportunities to enhance flow and efficiency of the center
Orient patients to the environment, maintain patient normothermia, and assist with patient transfers
Assist throughout the facility in environmental cleaning, and protect patients' rights, dignity, and privacy
Provide age-specific, culturally competent, ethical care within legal standards of practice
Comply with Universal Protocol and facility site validation and time-out policy
Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent
One year of Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech experience preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (MA)/Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Patient Care (PCT) preferred
Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification
Knowledge of medical terminology
Compensation:
USD $21.00/Hr. - USD $25.13/Hr.
