Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Donation Collection Driver to join our team at Goodwill Southeast Georgia. As a home pickup specialist, you will be responsible for assisting our donors with home pickups throughout the southeast Georgia area. You will operate a 26-foot box truck vehicle while monitoring & maintaining all safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a mover, unloader, or non-CDL driver, and will be able to lift, carry, and load donations, including furniture weighing up to 100 pounds, onto box trucks for transport to and from donor and client locations, including up and down stairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate 26-foot box truck vehicle while monitoring & maintaining all safety standards
- Lift, carry, and load donations, including furniture weighing up to 100 pounds, onto box trucks for transport to and from donor and client locations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure truck road worthiness and that it is equipped with all necessary tools
- Works in coordination with administrative support specialist and Donation Acquisition Manager to build, maintain, and monitor schedule of home pickups
- Provide first level of customer support to resolve customer service complaints or issues
- Maintain records of pickup to correlate with goods received to provide verification to operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mover, unloader, or non-CDL driver
- Available to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday ONLY
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Minimum 6 -12 months commercial truck driving experience
- Valid Georgia Driver's License (Class C), with driving record acceptable to company's vehicle insurance standards
