About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Tools SME to join our team at Maximus. As a DevOps Tools SME, you will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance on DevOps tools, processes, and improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and recommend DevOps tools that align with business goals and objectives
  • Assess existing process and toolchains, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practice using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Monitor security controls to support a comprehensive compliance program
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes to enable scalable and portable deployments
  • Provide training, mentorship, and guidance on best practices and tools; support the fostering of a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Active Secret clearance is required
  • Due to contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens without dual citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree: additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree
  • 12+ years of experience in the related field
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
  • Knowledge of common software and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Jira, VMware, etc.
