About the Role:

The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our convent home for elder Franciscan sisters. This is a full-time position working on the day shift, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms, halls, and restrooms, and vacuuming and cleaning floors.
  • Perform cleaning duties in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols.
  • Assist with cross-training in other departments as needed, such as cleaning in the kitchen, laundry, and assisting with the transport of sisters.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve a warm and caring convent environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of housekeeping/cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial or environmental setting.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
