River Pilot

American Cruise Lines is seeking experienced River Nav Mate Pilots to join our team of senior shipboard officers. As a Nav Mate Pilot, you will be responsible for safe vessel operations, adherence to company and regulatory standards, and representing the company as a professional leader and example.

• Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of passengers, crew, and vessel.
• Vessel Operations: Safely operate the vessel, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
• Piloting and Maneuvering: Prudently pilot and maneuver the vessel.
• Inspections and Reports: Conduct comprehensive daily inspections of all vessel interior and exterior spaces, and maintain accurate administrative logs and reports.
• Leadership: Lead a safe, secure, clean, and comfortable onboard environment for passengers and crew.
• Seasonal Schedule: Work a typical March-November schedule of 4-6 weeks on and 2-3 weeks off.

• U.S. Coast Guard Master's License: Hold a minimum 100T license, with a desired 1600T or greater.
• Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience on coastal and river waterways, with a desired 5 years of experience, including Z-drive experience.
• Communication and Team-Building Skills: Possess excellent communication and team-building skills.
• Pre-Employment Testing: Pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in random testing.
