Role Summary:
The Cybersecurity Assessor will deliver expertise in cybersecurity and information technology, focusing on evaluating federal IT and cloud systems. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the technologies and standards employed by the agency to secure its systems, including but not limited to federally mandated cybersecurity and privacy requirements, industry best practices, cybersecurity architecture, and various security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of security systems, ensuring compliance with established standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of six (6) years of specialized experience in security system assessments.
Required Certifications:
- At least one of the following certifications is required: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, ISACA CISA, GIAC GSEC, GIAC GSNA, GIAC GPEN, or CEH.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in advising and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science, or five (5) years of equivalent experience.
Security Clearance:
An active security clearance may be necessary for this position. Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
Work Authorization:
Applicants must possess work authorization in the US that does not require future sponsorship for employment.
