Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a Lead Technologist, you will be responsible for performing specialized ultrasound procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and leading a team of technologists to achieve optimal department results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including common and special US exams, and vascular ultrasound exams.
- Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
- Assess, identify, and respond to patient needs to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
- Modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
- Serve as liaison between team members, management, and physicians, resolving routine matters for the shift and modality.
- Assist physicians during procedures and provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members.
- Conduct quality audits on equipment, processes, outcomes, and team member performance.
- Develop and implement quality improvement activities, train, mentor, and develop staff, and provide feedback on staff performance or development needs.
- Four years' experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- RDMS-OB, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, ARRT-SON, ARRT-VS, RVS, RVT, or BLS certification.
- Ability to work independently, handle challenging diagnostic procedures, and demonstrate sound judgment and clinical skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate multiple computer systems.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills, with excellent customer service skills.
