Pipefitting Educator

We are looking for a qualified Pipefitting Instructor to teach students at General Dynamics Electric Boat. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of commitment to safety and procedure compliance, be a self-starter, and possess strong verbal & written communication skills.

The selected candidate will be part of a team responsible for training students, and will have a range of responsibilities including instructing courses, directing hands-on training, enforcing safety rules, and assessing student performance. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching, nuclear trade experience, and a strong ability to prioritize and complete complex tasks.

Key requirements include:

• Possess a High school diploma (minimum)
• Have a minimum of 2 years of pipefitting experience
• Have a minimum of 2 years of Electric Boat experience
• Must be able to climb a ladder and don a Safety Harness as required

The estimated salary for this position is $**65,000 - $85,000 per year**, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

This role requires flexibility to support training on 2nd & 3rd shifts, with the ability to work additional overtime as directed. Physical qualifications include light lifting, reaching, stooping, and twisting. Environmental attributes include working inside.
