Gypsum Management & Supply, Inc. is the leading distributor of gypsum wallboard and specialty building materials in North America.

Our team members have worked at Cowtown Materials for over 20 years, including several who started their careers in delivery and warehouse positions.

We are seeking a skilled CDL delivery driver to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and Federal regulations.

The primary function of this role is to deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by customers while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
  • Delivery: Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by customers while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Accident Reporting: Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
  • Lifting and Moving: Stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • License: Must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Experience: Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
  • MVR: Must have a clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Judgment: Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting and Driving: Must be able to remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
  • Lifting and Moving: Must be able to lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
  • Constant Movement: Frequently moves materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
  • Operating Vehicles: Constantly operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle.
  • Communication: Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Working Conditions: Constantly working in outside environment while making deliveries.

Required Cognitive Skills:

  • Prioritization: Must be able to prioritize job sites and deadlines.
  • Stress Management: Must be able to manage stress depending on customer's deadline.
  • Multitasking: Must be able to multitask.
  • Problem Solving: Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
  • Sound Judgment: Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgment.

Salary and Benefits:

$65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
