Pharmacy Technician

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, Supervisor, and/or Director of Pharmacy services, the Pharmacy Tech performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital. These duties include maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data in the computer system, preparing intravenous medication, and filling the automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient medication and treatment plans.
• Enter and retrieve data in the hospital's computer system to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing.
• Prepare intravenous medication, including antibiotics, under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Fulfill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver them to nursing units.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient and effective medication distribution.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with prior experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
