We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- At least 12 months of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Medication Competence certification.
- Computer Competence certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
