Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at El Paso Children's Hospital. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children of varying ages with respiratory-related needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory deficiencies and abnormalities
- Use medical gases, ventilatory support, and other equipment to provide therapeutic support
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide care to patients with critical respiratory conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and training to patients and families on respiratory care and management
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Current Texas Respiratory Care License
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
- Completion of a two-year CoARC-approved respiratory care program (associate degree) or bachelor's degree in Allied Health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions
- One year experience in adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care respiratory care procedures
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification
