Physical Therapist

Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. As a Physical Therapist - Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiac rehabilitation program.
Key Responsibilities- Examine and evaluate patients' physical therapy needs, formulating a physical therapy diagnosis and developing a treatment plan to maximize cardiovascular function.
- Demonstrate expertise in cardiac rehabilitation, including competency in assessment and treatment relative to age-specific needs for the patient population.
- Consult with other healthcare team members to ensure coordination and effectiveness of therapies provided.
- Participate in quality assurance programs, special interest groups, and committee work to promote staff education and program development.
- Assist in the implementation of triaging, prioritizing, monitoring admissions, referrals, and discharges to and from the service as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
- Current unrestricted license to practice physical therapy from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and a performance record that consistently exceeds expectations.
- ACLS certification.
- Professional certification by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage cardiac rehabilitation patients and interact with the rehabilitation and medical team.
- Strong analytical abilities and sound knowledge in physical therapy to effectively care for patients with complex cardiovascular disease.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in the principles of adult education and the ability to create and present formal and informal educational programs using digital tools.
