Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and physician orders
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients and families prior to each exam
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document in medical records
  • Perform CT and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods
  • Place IVs as required for injection of contrast media
  • Operate CT imaging equipment and perform quality control and quality assurance testing
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety
  • Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologists in a timely manner
  • Ensure equipment is wiped down and sanitized between patients and exam rooms are clean and properly stocked
  • Accurately and efficiently use hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACs
  • Use effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participate with medical staff, management, technical, and support staff
Requirements
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); must remain in good standing with the ARRT
  • Additional CT certification required within 1 year of hire (with exception)
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers from The American Heart Association and/or The American Red Cross at hire
