Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to fill a travel position at Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital. This role encompasses both outpatient and inpatient care duties, providing a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation.

Certification Requirements

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality physical therapy services in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists.
  • Utilize various modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and dry needling to enhance patient recovery.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred.
  • Charting Experience: Familiarity with Epic software is advantageous.
  • Skills: Must demonstrate resilience, adaptability to change, and strong interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
  • Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
  • Shift: Primarily 8-hour day shifts, typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with designated time for documentation.
  • On-Call Requirements: Participation in weekend rotations every 4 weeks for urgent evaluations.
Unit Information

The rehabilitation services department offers a diverse range of therapies, with a typical daily caseload of 5-8 scheduled patient sessions. The unit operates within a 24-bed critical access hospital, treating a wide variety of conditions across all age groups.
