Pipelayer Technician

The Pipelayer position at Veit & Company Inc. is a critical role that requires physical labor and manual dexterity. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks at construction project sites, including operating hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing sites, and assisting other craft workers.

• Perform manual labor at construction project sites, including operating hand and power tools
• Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and set braces to support the sides of excavations
• Assist other craft workers and maintain a clean job site at all times
• Load and unload trucks, haul and hoist materials, and perform other tasks as assigned by management

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6-12 months of construction experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, and demonstrated knowledge of applicable safety precautions and procedures
• Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings (plans/blueprints) and calculate grades
• Experience setting up and utilizing a pipe laser and using an eye-level (transit)
