We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Orange County. As a Childcare Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for children aged 5-12, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities- Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and lead activities that align with our curriculum, including homework assistance, arts and crafts, STEM/STEAM, and physical education.
- Youth Support and Guidance: Foster a supportive environment that encourages program engagement and participation, providing mentorship and guidance to help children succeed.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate and work with children, staff, parents, school personnel, and community partners to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily attendance and other required documentation.
- Age and Experience: Be at least 18 years old and have experience working with children aged 5-12 in a daycare, after-school program, or camp setting.
- Education and Certifications: Hold a minimum of 12 college units in Child Development or a related field, and complete YMCA Core trainings within the first 60 days of employment.
