Watersports Instructor

Join our team of experienced watersports professionals at Neilson Active Holidays, where you'll have the opportunity to work in various Mediterranean resorts.

We're seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Enhanced Watersports Instructor to deliver safe, fun, and engaging Dinghy Sailing and/or Windsurfing sessions for guests of all ages.

• Deliver exceptional watersports instruction in line with the RYA syllabus and Neilson's programme.
• Assist in preparing, organising, delivering, and running activities on and off the water.
• Prepare suitable experience and ability-based sessions.
• Ensure the highest standard of health and safety is maintained.
• Advise guests on the practical and safe use of all beach equipment.
• Take responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and security of all Neilson equipment.
• Ensure the beach, racks, and simulators meet guest expectations.
• Organise and host social events and briefings.
• Be prepared to move between resorts as required by operational needs.
• Be flexible and willing to assist in all duties as requested by your line manager.
• Deliver excellent airport transfers to and from the resort.

• Royal Yachting Association (RYA) - Windsurfing or Dinghy Instructor qualification (including Power Boat Level 2 certificate).
• Two or more of the following qualifications: Powerboat Instructor, Multihull endorsement, Race Coach, Advanced Sailing Instructor, Wing Surf Instructor, or Intermediate Non-Planing Windsurf Instructor.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of watersports equipment and associated safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work all required hours with your team.
• Ability to deliver fun, engaging, safe, and informative tuition.
• Knowledge of current Sailing/Windsurfing industry is desirable.
• Ability to assist guests with rigging and de-rigging dinghy and windsurf kit.
• Confident communication and instruction in English.
• Ability to work well, independently, as part of a team, and maintain effective working relationships.
