The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and maintaining products and services that facilitate animal care and breeding in our isolator facility. This includes operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about working with animals, enjoys organization, and has a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Following standard operating procedures for efficient transfer of materials into and out of animal barrier
  • Operating all equipment in a safe, efficient, and careful manner
  • Keeping detailed records on work performed
  • Maintaining work area in an organized, clean, and safe condition
  • Receiving and stocking incoming supplies, feed, bedding, etc.
  • Assembling animal shipping boxes
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work area, storage areas, and animal care areas as assigned
  • Maintaining records required
  • Assisting with animal husbandry
  • Assisting with shipments
  • Euthanizing as designated
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

  • A combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Passion for working with animals and a positive attitude
