Key Responsibilities
The Principal Engineer will:
1. Spearhead the formulation and implementation of architectural and engineering strategies for IAM services on a global scale, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to design, integrate, test, and deploy IAM solutions for key initiatives.
3. Establish formal IAM and enterprise directory standards and procedures that comply with corporate security policies, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
4. Actively engage in IT Governance teams to represent IAM interests, focusing on architecture, risk management, and policy compliance.
5. Work closely with executive management and departmental leaders to evaluate both immediate and long-term IAM requirements, including multi-factor authentication and privileged access management.
6. Conduct regular access reviews to ensure that appropriate access controls are maintained.
7. Research and recommend innovative IAM technologies and tools to meet current and future demands.
8. Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, ensuring that technology and service roadmaps are effectively utilized.
9. Serve as a subject matter expert for internal business and IT partners.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on identity and access management.
- Proven management and leadership experience, including oversight of personnel, projects, budgets, and processes.
- Familiarity with current and emerging IAM technologies such as automated provisioning, single sign-on, identity federation, and privileged access management.
- Experience in enterprise directory architecture and best practices.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey risks to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
