Welder Specialist

Power Systems Mfg., LLC is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for executing weld prep, welding, and visual weld inspection of gas turbine airfoil components according to technical specifications and customer requirements.

• Set up and install welding equipment
• Execute welding on gas turbine components as per technical specifications
• Quality check of performed work before operation step confirmation
• Prepare and confirm quality documentation
• Report used production time per production step
• Set up welding parameters, select consumable materials, and prepare work piece for new welding process trials with engineering staff
• Design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required
• Report technical deviations with the Non Conformance Reporting System (NCR)
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and tools
• Keep the working environment and machines in a clean and proper condition
• Follow Environmental Health and Safety regulations
• Continually improve operations and the working environment

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Certified in welding (TIG & MIG)
• 3+ years experience with TIG welding
• 3+ years experience in a production or maintenance environment
• 1+ years experience with welding of Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloys
• Experienced in carrying out visual inspections of welds
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level may be loud at times.
