Pool Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pool Safety Specialist to join our team at The Y of Central Maryland. As a Pool Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests while they enjoy our swimming facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the pool area during operating hours to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations, and provide clear instructions to members and guests.
  • Perform regular chemical tests to ensure the pool water meets safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe pool environment, including the surrounding areas.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our members and guests.
Requirements:
  • Current lifeguard certification.
  • Current CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certification (or O2 within 30 days of hire).
  • Successful completion and passing of the Y in Central Maryland swim test.
  • Flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
