Meat/Seafood Clerk Job Description

Tops Friendly Markets is seeking a skilled Meat/Seafood Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our grocery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the proper handling and storage of meat and seafood products, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Weigh, wrap, price, prepare, and label meat or seafood products to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure proper handling and storing of product to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain proper case conditions, including cleaning, stocking, straightening, and rotating product.
  • Fulfill customer requests for meat/seafood products and answer customer questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure proper operation of and temperatures in cooler, prep area, freezer, lobster tanks, and cases.
