Key Responsibilities:
The Café Barista will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Monitoring temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Describing menu offerings to customers and suggesting appealing products.
  • Ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies or retail items.
  • Providing detailed product information, such as coffee blends and preparation methods.
  • Processing customer payments efficiently.
  • Serving prepared food items, including pastries and bagels.
  • Restocking customer service stations with necessary supplies.
  • Disposing of waste properly.
  • Creating promotional signage for store products or events.
  • Preparing or serving menu items like sandwiches or salads.
  • Setting up or replenishing product displays.
  • Delivering high-quality service with a focus on retail, sales, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Previous experience in guest service and cash handling is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
