Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant Non-Certified to join our team at Mid Michigan Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and schedule urgent/emergent add-ons
  • Support and direct patients for consults and/or testing and insurance pre-certification and documentation
  • Perform routine pre-examination procedures, including vital signs and assessing and recording objective and subjective data concerning presenting condition
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records, including orders reconciliation and secure messaging
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures
  • Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment, and dispose of contaminated supplies
Requirements
  • Technical Certificate in Medical Assisting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of medical office policies, practices, and procedures
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow MyMichigan Health's bloodborne pathogen and TB testing protocols.
