Job Description

We are seeking a skilled painter to join our team at Third Generation Painting Co. in Eugene, Oregon. As a painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting the interior and exterior of structures, buildings, and other surfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints and instructions to determine the type and amount of work required
  • Make on-site preparations, including masking, covering fixtures, and laying drop cloths
  • Prepare walls and surfaces for painting by power washing, scraping, and removing old paint
  • Fills cracks and holes with appropriate material
  • Mixes paint and other materials to achieve the desired color and texture
  • Applies paint to surfaces using various tools
  • Applies varnish and other finishes
  • Interacts with customers and contractors to ensure satisfaction
  • Takes and adheres to all health and safety precautions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a painter
  • Excellent knowledge of painting materials and techniques
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and construction painting techniques
  • Aptitude in using various tools, including spray pumps, HVLPs, brushes, and maskers
  • Good basic math skills
  • Manual dexterity and balance to work at heights
  • Conscientious and detail-oriented
  • Ability to interact positively with customers, contractors, and coworkers
