Senior Caregiver Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Senior Caregiver to join our team at Home Instead. As a Senior Caregiver, you will provide non-medical support and companionship to seniors in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide companionship and conversation to seniors
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Remind clients of medication and appointments
  • Assist with grooming and bathing
  • Support with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Provide pet care and support
  • Support clients with Alzheimer's disease
Requirements:
  • Treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance (if driving clients)
  • Hold CPR/1st Aid Certification
  • Have a functioning voicemail box that is monitored and return messages
