Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time Chief of Medical/Surgical and Pediatric Services to oversee our dedicated team. This leadership role includes a comprehensive compensation package that may feature sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulating and executing departmental objectives and strategies that align with the organization’s clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Managing and assessing departmental functions, including patient care delivery, technology integration, service quality, and complaint resolution to meet performance and quality benchmarks.
  • Overseeing staffing processes, which encompass recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Preparing and managing departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with financial allocations.
  • Facilitating internal and external audits to maintain operational integrity.
  • Creating a supportive environment that promotes professional development and growth.
  • Incorporating evidence-based practices into clinical operations and protocols.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in the state is required, along with certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) within a specified timeframe post-hire.

Experience:
A minimum of five years of nursing experience in an acute care setting is essential, with at least two years in a leadership capacity.

Skills:
This role demands strong critical thinking abilities, decisive judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal oversight. Candidates must thrive in high-pressure environments and respond appropriately to challenges.
