About the Role:

As an Analytical Instrumentation Specialist at AbbVie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and repaired to ensure accurate results. This position requires strong scientific and engineering skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Analytical Instrumentation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and repairing analytical instrumentation used in our laboratory areas. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting hardware-related problems and performing calibration and qualification activities using Chromatography Data Collection (CDS) software.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply scientific and engineering expertise to ensure that instrumentation is properly specified, installed, programmed, and calibrated to perform design function
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware-related problems on analytical instrumentation
  • Perform calibration and qualification activities using CDS software
  • Assist engineering in development of functional specifications and job plans for analytical equipment
  • Maintain analytical equipment in a validated environment, including all GxP areas

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in electronics technology or equivalent strongly desired
  • Minimum two years' experience as a Senior Instrument Technician or equivalent
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, and other types of analytical laboratory instrumentation preferred

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
