About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Cleaning Associate to join our team at TJ Maxx in Hamburg, NY. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring a positive customer experience, and supporting the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the operation of floor care equipment and adherence to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Cross-train in multiple areas of the store to support the needs of the business, including the Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, and other areas as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including the refilling of essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
  • Participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day, ensuring a clean and organized store environment at all times.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates, providing clear and concise information and feedback.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor care equipment, including the ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, with the ability to respond to multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to listen and respond effectively.
