Job Summary:

The OR Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, setting up equipment, and assisting the surgeon and anesthesiologist during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
• Assist the surgeon and anesthesiologist during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining asepsis.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, including sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment.
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Assist with room turnover, including cleaning and preparing the operating room for the next procedure.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist training program or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience as an OR Technician, including experience in scrubbing all services, including ortho and spine procedures.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
