Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Project Coordinator will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the execution and delivery of projects for end users. This role encompasses managing project timelines, budgets, and scopes effectively. The Project Coordinator will be tasked with all facets of project management, including establishing deadlines, delegating tasks, and tracking project progress. Occasional travel to client locations will be required, with a focus on ensuring compliance with necessary background checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating project kickoffs and conducting site meetings
  • Collaborating with the Sales team to prepare detailed Scope of Work
  • Developing project timelines and identifying critical milestones
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies
  • Working closely with Site Superintendents to optimize project workflows
  • Communicating project status updates to clients and contractors
  • Providing regular updates to internal teams including Sales, Management, and Engineering
  • Ensuring clear communication of project scope to field teams for successful outcomes
  • Maintaining daily communication with field staff regarding project developments
  • Mentoring technicians under direct and indirect supervision
  • Generating project cost and scheduling reports
  • Addressing customer inquiries and concerns
  • Coordinating warranty service calls with the service department as necessary
  • Guiding customers to appropriate resources for assistance
  • Scheduling final inspections with the Inspections team
  • Verifying warranty timelines
  • Ensuring all project documentation is completed and recorded
  • Coordinating customer training sessions upon project completion
  • Updating schedules for field staff as needed
  • Reviewing and approving vacation requests for field staff
  • Conducting performance evaluations for field staff
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Location:

  • Preferred candidates will be based in Central Pennsylvania
  • Travel will primarily occur within Pennsylvania, with occasional overnight stays
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for operating a company vehicle

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline (Mechatronics, Electrical, Engineering) is required
  • A minimum of five years of experience in managing or implementing Electronic Security / Life Safety Systems or a related field is required
  • At least two years of experience supervising Commissioning Agents, Installers, Apprentices, and Subcontractors is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Life Safety industry standards, NFPA regulations, and building codes is required
  • Strong subcontracting skills are essential
  • Ability to analyze job financial reports and manage costs for large projects is required
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or relevant industry experience is preferred
  • PMP Certification is considered a plus
