Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our 1st shift Production team at Barnes Inc. in support of achieving identified business goals and objectives for profitable, sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble nitrogen gas cylinders, manifolds, and base plates to specification using applicable tools and equipment.
  • Build units to specification, inspect, verify bench parts, deburr, wash, stencil parts, charge springs, and test components.
  • Communicate product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to the team.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures, and perform role with a safety-first mentality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working in roles that require mechanical skills, including mechanical/air power tools and powered industrial vehicles.
  • Demonstrated experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
  • Able to effectively communicate and follow instructions in verbal and written form.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well with minimal direct management oversight.
  • Able to adapt and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
