About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy, L.L.C. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in the analysis, design, and licensing requirements of mechanical and nuclear systems and components for nuclear power plants.

The estimated salary for this role is $130,000 - $190,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

This senior level position will involve:

  • Leading the design and development of nuclear power plant systems
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality results
  • Developing technical specifications and procurement documents
  • Conducting vendor bid evaluations and studies for modifications to operating nuclear power plants

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional results and meeting customer expectations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
