Locum Gastroenterologist

Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive system disorders in adults and potentially children.
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, X-rays, CT scans, and blood tests.
- Perform endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients on digestive health and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in gastroenterology through continuing education.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Fellowship training in gastroenterology (may be preferred depending on the position).
- Board certification in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin.
