Pharmacy Validation Specialist

Cone Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Validation Specialist to join our team. This critical role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication distribution within our hospital.

This position involves providing final checks on specific unit-dosed products removed from automated systems in the drug distribution workflow. As a Pharmacy Validation Specialist, you will work under general supervision to ensure that unit dose distribution systems have been accurately prepared to meet the pharmaceutical needs of our patients.

• Validate numerous drug distribution systems to verify accurate medication delivery to hospital care units
• Maintain detailed records of floor stock and distribution system inventories to identify any potential errors
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to address issues and implement solutions for floor stock and unit dose distribution systems

To be successful in this role, you must possess an associate degree in pharmacy technology and hold a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Additionally, certification as a pharmacy technician through PTCB or NHA is required prior to hire, and registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment is also necessary.
