Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Methodist Family Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate and holistic care to patients, adhering to trauma-informed and strength-based principles.
  • Assist in obtaining information for nursing assessments and take and record vital signs as needed.
  • Document patient care and progress in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a detailed and accurate manner.
  • Administer medications and assist with completion of drug screenings as needed.
  • Participate in medication clinics and assist with lab orders and reports.
  • Provide health education to patients through individual and group interactions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment and communicate effectively with other service providers.
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of compliance with regulations and standards from various oversight and licensing entities.
  • Participate in professional growth opportunities and in-service training.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to the professional growth of others.
Qualifications:
  • Arkansas Licensed Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Arkansas Licensure
  • Meet requirements for privileging status as specified by Methodist Family Health and its operating entities.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working in mental health and substance abuse treatment
  • Specialized training or certification in mental health and/or substance abuse treatment
  • Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Ability to document accurately and professionally
  • Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions
  • Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, CPR & First Aid
  • Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health, regardless of gender
  • Must have good auditory, visual, and olfactory ability
  • Requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms
  • Lift and hold at least 50 pounds for one minute
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment
  • Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items
  • Requires the strength and stamina to perform clinical duties
