Role Summary

MedVet is a leading provider of emergency and specialty veterinary care, with a strong commitment to innovation and patient care. We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Assistant - Sterile Processing to join our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper sterile technique to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Proactively distribute all necessary equipment and instrumentation for surgeries and procedures.
  • Collect and process used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for decontamination and sterilization.
  • Accurately handle and care for instruments, including selection of cleaning agents, lubricants, examination for function, identification, and assembly.
  • Prepare and pack decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sterilization equipment.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and disinfect operating and procedure rooms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, time manage, and critically think.
  • Capability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
