About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Resource Specialist Teacher to join our team at Natomas Unified School District. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to students with disabilities, promoting academic and social growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices, research, and district initiatives to enhance instructional strategies and student outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Valid California Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential or Learning Handicapped Credential with a Resource Specialist certification.
- English Learner Authorization issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
