We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional care within our hospice services. This role involves working night shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM, with a commitment to three 12-hour shifts each week, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Primary Registered Nurse (RN) to assess patient and family needs, ensuring a coordinated approach to care.
- Implement monitoring and intervention strategies to enhance patient comfort and quality of life.
- Work under the supervision of the Primary RN and/or Care Team Manager (CTM) to deliver high-quality nursing care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a state-approved Practical Nursing program and a minimum of one year of clinical experience.
- Active LPN license in compliance with Florida state regulations.
Certifications:
- Current CPR certification from an accredited organization.
- IV Therapy certification is preferred or must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Valid Florida State Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance are required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent multi-tasking and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficient typing and computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
