Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team at Sam's Club. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move merchandise and supplies throughout the facility, while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to move merchandise and supplies throughout the facility, following company standards and guidelines.
  • Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow and following company policy and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs, providing guidance and support, and resolving member issues and concerns.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
  • Ensure the sales floor and merchandising presentation are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures, including stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, and setting up and cleaning product displays.
  • Fill club pick-up orders by assisting with picking orders throughout the day and staging, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Retail experience.
  • Supervising a team.
