Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Nurse to join our team at MU Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting independence and self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, adhering to regulatory requirements and MU Health Care's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
