Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct care and assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting to foster health and independence.
  • Support mobility and functional nursing care as outlined in the nursing care plan, including transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Establish professional relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and supervisors to facilitate open communication based on mutual respect.
  • Assist with assessments and treatment procedures in accordance with the State Nursing Practice Act and facility policies.
  • Adhere to Infection Control protocols, including Standard Precautions and safe handling of biohazardous materials.
  • Familiarize with care protocols related to falls prevention, safety, and behavior management, ensuring residents' nutritional and hydration needs are met.
  • Accept assignments and guidance from the Nurse Leader, reporting any changes in residents' physical or mental conditions.
  • Comply with established protocols regarding Resident Rights, abuse reporting, HIPAA, and emergency procedures.
  • Encourage resident participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Document care provided accurately, including LNA flow sheets and other data as per individual Care Plans.
Qualifications:

Must possess an active NH LNA License.

Previous experience working with senior citizens is highly preferred.
