Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Service Manager and Power Generation Director in formulating gross profit strategies and managing departmental expenditures while tracking performance on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of systems designed to monitor departmental productivity and personnel utilization.
  • Oversee the branch's financial performance, focusing on expenses and profitability.
  • Supervise overall business unit operations to ensure adherence to company personnel practices and policies.
  • Regularly assess all aspects of business unit operations by monitoring key performance indicators related to vendor invoices, no-charge billings, pricing schedules, inventory management, facility maintenance, and other management reports.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with aftermarket sales, service, and parts teams to conduct a thorough analysis of monthly earnings statements.
  • Lead product support sales representatives to maximize profitability on preventative maintenance contracts and service operations.
  • Guide service managers to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered by technicians, ensuring safety and compliance with factory-certified training.
  • Oversee parts expeditors to maintain adequate local inventory levels, achieve optimal gross profit on parts sales, and ensure accurate tracking of local and service truck inventories.
  • Assist the General Service Manager in developing business plans aimed at meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Participate in annual sales meetings, monthly safety briefings, job fairs, trade shows, and conduct quarterly visits to remote branches as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the General Service Manager on monthly forecasting and corporate reporting requirements.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, motivate, and evaluate team members.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Excellent organizational skills are necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management and building strong partnerships.
  • Basic understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to handle and de-escalate high-stress situations with customers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Power Generation industry and warranty processes is essential.
  • Ability to interpret and respond to inquiries regarding profit and loss statements from management.
  • Thorough knowledge of the responsibilities associated with this position and its relevance to the overall business objectives.
Working Conditions
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Availability for weekend work or after-hours as required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Work may involve both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Flexibility in starting and ending times may be required based on workload demands.
