Job Summary

As a Mammography Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Under general supervision, you will operate dedicated and specialized mammography radiographic equipment, formulate techniques, and position patients to produce diagnostic images of normal and abnormal human breast and associated tissue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Formulate techniques and position patients to ensure accurate and effective imaging
  • Critique radiographs and images to recognize normal from abnormal tissue and take additional required views as needed
  • Provide compassionate service and maintain a positive image for the department
  • Identify the impact of cultural diversity and lifestyle choices on patient condition and make accommodations as needed
  • Document clinical activities in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Mammography Certificate (California)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Mammography Technologist within 3 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply knowledge, principles, and practices of radiologic, mammographic techniques, breast structures, anatomy, composition, and pathology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years experience as a staff technologist
