Endoscopy Nurse - Local/Internal Traveler

Southcoast Health System is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to join our in-house travel team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in various endoscopy units throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Assignment Details:

  • 11-13 Week Assignment, with option to extend for 1 additional 13 week assignment if available
  • $70/hr
  • Health Insurance and 403B retirement plan eligible

Responsibilities:

As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit.

You will have knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. You will also be required to float to other like-units for patient assignments and have working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications.

Requirements:

  • Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible for consideration. Former employees must be separated from Southcoast for at least 9 months to be eligible.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
  • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Minimum of one year of Endoscopy nursing experience required.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips.
  • Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments is required.
  • Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications.
  • Epic experience is preferred.
