Role Summary: This position plays a crucial role in providing assistance to the VP of Sales and the remote Sales Team, ensuring customer inquiries and orders are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute sales reports as requested by the sales team.
- Support the forecasting process for both existing and new products, including seasonal offerings.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing lists and cost sheets.
- Manage specific customer accounts and assist with order processing.
- Handle orders for small accounts that place infrequent orders.
- Update specification sheets for Palmer branded products and customer-specific documents.
- Act as a liaison between the sales and production teams.
- Coordinate all aspects of national trade shows.
- Assist in the preparation of sales presentations.
- Order and maintain supplies for promotional materials.
- Participate in conference calls with the Sales Team.
- Facilitate the setup of new items and product launches.
- Be cross-trained to assist with order entry, billing, and customer inquiries as needed.
- Engage effectively with all organizational functions and personnel at various levels.
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain acceptable conduct standards.
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an office support role.
Physical Requirements:
- Work environment includes both office and manufacturing settings.
- May require occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or twisting.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds infrequently.
- Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Capability to climb stairs and ladders of different heights.
